London: Day 3

Portobello Road!

We went antique shopping at Portobello and had SO much fun! The prices were amazing and we managed to get out of there without being pick-pocketed! We bought so many cute things: antique jewelry, silverware, prints, and other collectibles for friends :) Mom swears she met the real Santa Claus who had an antique booth and talked our ears off!

We caught a cab and headed to Covent Garden. Had lunch at Punch & Judy's Pub. Then we shopped!

After shopping, we went to the London Eye - basically a ferris wheel, but Londoners refuse to call it that! I was really excited about it until we started moving and suddenly my fear of heights struck! We were in these "bubbles" that held at 25 people. Our "bubble" had 2 Indian families that were allowing their kids to play tag while were were mid-air above London! Totally freaked me out!

For dinner, we went to Picadilly Circus (very much like Times Square) and had dinner at Waxy O'Connor's, an Irish pub, and had fish 'n chips and deliciuos beer. We LOVED it!! They played tons of Irish folk music. Mimi was a trooper even though she was a little bit out of her element!
